Wood-Concrete

Wood-Concrete Floor Reinforcement

The Al-fer Dry Connector is used to consolidate existing or new wooden floors. It is laid directly over the floor boards and makes the wooden beam fit with the new concrete slab above. The connector resists the sliding forces that occur in the floors at meeting point of two different materials.

The benefits of an Al-fer dry connector system

Static recovery of the wooden structure

Complete conversion to the original state

No need for disposal in landfill

5/6 connectors per sqm on average

Highly competitive cost

Reliable execution not requiring skilled labour

The Al-fer dry connector system improves the connection technique of timber-concrete composite slab floors in terms of practicality, simplicity and savings.

It is a single piece – no plates, double screws or pylons – compact with a powerful hold. A dry system without resins, unique in its ease of installation.

The specific conical thread with reverse adaptation of the connector and its diameter allow an average laying of 5 per square metre, being well-priced compared to similar systems.

Installation

Installation is simple without the need for specialised skills and consists of 2 phases:

pre-drill with tip diameter 11.5 mm

fastening the connector with thrust screwdriver (min. 280 Nm) until the smooth part is completely inserted into the floor board.

The special limit stop mechanically compresses the alignment against the wooden beam, thus improving the effectiveness of the connection.

Connector distance

For connector installation, always follow the instructions provided by the site manager. The person concerned can download the free program under Software item or send a free calculation request to Technical Assistance.
